TCC Pamplona
In August 2009, Transports Ciutat Comtal expanded yet again by winning the public tender to provide the public passenger transport service in the city of Pamplona and the 17 surrounding municipalities. The contract was awarded for a period of 10 years as from 1 November 2009. This contract alone grew the company by 20% and was a clear sign of its desire to expand beyond Catalonia.
The contracted service, more commonly known as Las Villavesas, included transport in the city of Pamplona and the 17 surrounding municipalities, with an estimated annual passenger volume of 37 million. Consisting of 23 urban bus lines, the service is provided via a fleet of 140 buses and workforce of 450 people.
